Junior Postdoctoral Researcher
Giselle Martínez-Noël is Junior Postdoctoral Researcher in Biochemistry in Dr. Luis Rubio’s Group in the IMDEA Energy Foundation. She works in the optimization of hydrogen production by nitrogenase through biological/biochemical processes. She obtained an equivalent degree of Ms (Licenciatura) in Biology (Argentina, 1998) and PhD in Biological Science from Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata (Argentina, 2004). Her PhD thesis was based on the study of the signal transduction mediated by sugars in plants, performing her specialization in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry techniques. She did Postdoctoral research in Universidad de Alicante (Spain), Instituto de Bioquímica Vegetal y Fotosíntesis de Sevilla (Spain) and UC Berkeley (USA). She won several fellowships, grants and contracts from important national and international organizations (CONICET, Fundación Carolina, CSIC among others). To date, she has presented many posters in nacional and international meetings, she has published 5 manuscripts in prestigious international, peer-reviewed journals and she peer-reviewed publications in Plant Molecular Biology and International Journal of Hydrogen Energy. Moreover, she generated human resources by co-directing a Licenciatura thesis and giving seminars for the PhD of Universidad de Alicante (Spain).
