Iberdrola grant for Alfonso Carrillo

The Iberdrola Foundation has announced the list of beneficiaries of the 2014-2015 Call for Research Proposals on Energy and Environment.

Alfonso Carrillo, predoctoral researcher of Thermochemical Processes Unit of IMDEA Energy Institute (center of photo), has been a beneficiary of the aid with the project "New flexible systems for thermochemical energy storage by redox cycles" .

The program “Energy for research” is aimed at young researchers who are developing or wishing to do their work in the areas of energy and environment in the context of a university or research center within the Spanish territory.

The objetive is to promote research in matters aimed at developing a sustainable energy model, R&D projects, and programs that promote the advancement in the field of energy sustainability.

The Kings of Spain, Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia, have made delivery of the awards in a ceremony has been attended by the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Isabel García Tejerina, who was accompanied by President of the Iberdrola Group,  Ignacio Sánchez Galán, and the president of Iberdrola Foundation, Manuel Marin.
