Two projects awarded in the call "Research Challenges 2013"

On August 1st, the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness published the final resolution of the Program of Research, Development and Innovation Oriented Challenges under the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2013 -2016, among which are those of mode 1: "Research Challenges."

The IMDEA Energy Institute has benefited from two grants, entitled:

1. Project: “Integration of renewable energy in the smart grid” (ENE2013-48690-C2-R2). Principal researcher: Dr. Milan Prodanovic (Head of Electrical Systems Unit).

2. Project: “Algal biogas from wastewater bioremediation: seeking for insights on population dynamics and cell wall characteristics” (ENE2013-45416-R). Principal researcher: Dr. Cristina González (Senior Assistant Researcher of Biotechnological Processes Unit).
