IMDEA Energy takes part in the European project ECO-GATE

The European Commission has approved funding with 10 million EUR from the call Connecting Europe Facility, CEF, the development of the project ECO-GATE, a global action plan for the development of mobility with natural gas in Europe. The consortium, made up of 29 entities from Spain, Portugal, France and Germany, is led by Gas Natural Fenosa. IMDEA Energy, member of the consortium, focuses on Life cycle sustainability assessment of CNG/LNG mobility in the Iberian Peninsula, including definition of conventional and alternative scenarios (or systems); development of specific inventories; screening and evaluation of life-cycle sustainability indicators; and interpretation of results in terms of actual suitability of the mobility scenario.
