IMDEA Energy in the event ‘Innovation, a key element in the energy transition’ of REE

‘Innovation, a key element in the energy transition’ event was organized by Red Eléctrica de España (REE) on December 5th at Espacio Harley in Madrid. Pedro Duque, Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities, and Jordi Sevilla, President of REE, participated in the event as well as Milan Prodanovic, Head of the Electrical Systems Unit of the IMDEA Energy Institute. The event served to share information about the R&D initiatives with the attendees and to open the second round of Call for Innovation within Grid2030 Programme. Moreover, Dr. Prodanovic presented the winning project from the first call RITSE 2030 in which IMDEA Energy collaborates with REE and Supergrid Institute, France, to improve the transient stability of future power networks with reduced inertia by enabling new services to control HVDC links and distributed energy storage technologies. The event brought together more than 100 experts from public administration, companies, research centers and universities and it was followed by the press:
