Short Bio: 

Alberto Escalera obtained his BSc degree in Industrial Electronics (2009) from University of Alcalá, his Master degree in Electrical and Power Systems from University Carlos III of Madrid (2012) and the Postgrade degree in Renewable Energies from University San Pablo CEU of Madrid (2012). His Master thesis was developed at the Energy Economics Group of the Technical University of Vienna and analysed integration of different renewable energy technologies in the industry.

Since 2013 Alberto has been involved in National, European and private funding R&D projects, such as Twenties and PRICE, in Spanish power network tycompanies like Red Eléctrica de España and Unión Fenosa Distribución. In June 2015 he joined the Electrical Systems Unit of IMDEA Energy Institute as a Predoctoral Researcher.
