CRISPTower : Development of a modular central receiver concentrated solar power plant for decentralized power generation

Contract with the company Sunborne Energy Technologies Pvt. Ltd., co-funded by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).

The main objective of this project is to demonstrate the technical and economic viability of concentrating solar thermal central receiver systems to deliver clean, cost-competitive renewable electricity. The proposed technology focuses on a modular, small-size (0.3 to 5MWe), efficient and higher plant utilization power plant. The objective will be achieved through cost effective heliostats, volumetric air receivers and solid/air thermal storage designs.
