Short Bio:
Dr. Gabriel Olalde (Ph. D. Physics, Perpignan University, 1981; M.Sc. Thermodynamics, Perpignan University, 1976; B. Sc. Chemical Engineering, UNAM, 1974) is 1st class Research Director at CNRS from 1991. He is currently Head of “Thermophysics and Fluid Flow” research Team at PROMES, where he develops his research activities on materials lifespan under high solar radiation fluxes, design and testing of high-temperature solar receivers, solar thermochemistry, turbulent flows characterization and development of experimental techniques of high-temperature processes.
