Around 50 attendees from the General Administration of the State, companies, research centers, universities and associations got together at the IMDEA Energy Institute Auditorium last November 26th on the occasion of the final event of the national project PICASO (ENE 2015-74607-JIN AEI/FEDER/UE) ‘Planning the implementation of alternative fuels in the Spanish energy sector towards a sustainable transport system’. The day began with the exposition of the implications of the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan, PNIEC, for transportation fuels by the speaker from the Ministry for the Ecological Transition. The project researchers presented the work methodology and its results. The event ended with a round table with the participation of Repsol, Nedgia, the National Hydrogen Center and Transport & Environment, where a lively debate was generated on the different alternative fuels and their role towards a sustainable energy system to which the attendees joined, coming from entities such as Iberdrola, Enagás, Cepsa, GasLicuado, Tecnalia, Autocares Ruiz Muñoz, consultancies, associations of consumers and various Spanish and foreign universities.
