The VI Smart Grids Conference, the main professional forum for Smart Electricity Networks in Spain, will be held on December 12th, 2019 at the Agustín de Betancourt Auditorium of Colegio de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos (c/ Almagro nº 42, 28010 Madrid, Spain). The Conference is aimed at professionals from all sectors directly or indirectly related to Smart Grids such as energy suppliers, electrical infrastructure, engineering, installers, renewable energy, self-consumption, energy services companies, electric vehicles, home / building automation, technological centers, public administration, associations, etc.
In the conference IMDEA Energy will present two projects on control and stability improvements of electricity networks executed in collaboration with companies such as REE and Norvento Enerxía:
- BATTERTIA Control of the battery system to improve the transient stability of electricity networks. It forms a part of the international RITSE project that addresses the improvement of the transient and small signal stability of electricity networks through the coordinated use of HVDC devices and distributed battery systems, generating an added value.
- MICROGRID-ON-CHIP Battery as pivot for microgrid control. It develops a microgrid control based on a battery converter that also performs the coordination functions for the rest of the components of the microgrid.
