IMDEA Energy Institute has obtained the accreditation of ‘María de Maeztu’ Unit of Excellence, granted by the Spanish State Research Agency.*
The Spanish Excellence Programme ‘María de Maeztu’ Units identify and promote excellence in scientific research with high-impact carried out in the cutting-edge R&D centers. The accredited centers stand out for the international notoriety of their scientific contributions, for their innovative capacity and for their intense relationship with the business sector. They are also world-class reference centers capable of attracting international talent.
The evaluation and selection of centres and units is carried out by an independent international committee of prestigious scientists, through yearly open competition.
The aAccreditation means recognition to the path of excellence IMDEA Energy and its human team in applied research in the field of energy as well as a support to hold it for the next four years, which may be revalidated in the future.
