The CIEMAT Training Unit (Centre for Energy, Environment and Technology) organizes the Online Course on TECHNOLOGIES, OPERATION AND APPLICATION OF ENERGY STORAGE IN ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS in its 5th Edition where Enrique García - Quismondo, Researcher at IMDEA Energy participates as professor in the Electrochemical Energy Storage session. The objectives of this course are: to define the energy storage needs in electrical grid, to provide a review of the existing technologies, their current state of the art and their applications, and to complete the theoretical description with practical demonstrations, examples and simulation tools. Regulatory, environmental (circular economy) and grid connection schemes will also be analyzed.
The programme, which will be given on the 16-26th of November between 9 and 12.30 am, is oriented to professionals in the energy sector, researchers and postgraduate students who want to know the reasons why energy storage is a need for electrical grid, as well as the different technologies that can be used, depending on the specific application.
