Short Bio: 

Alberto Rodríguez obtained his degrees in Industrial Technical Engineering and Industrial Engineering specialized in Electronics in 2011 and 2013 respectively both from Comillas Pontifical University. He has also completed his MSc studies in Research in Engineering Systems Modelling (2016) in the same University. In 2011 he won the Award of Excellence for being the best student of his promotion. In 2013 he did his Final Year Project at the IIT (Institute for Research in Technology) where he developed control algorithms for power converters connected in series with the grid.

In 2014 Alberto participated in the development and implementation of a DFIG controller for wind-based generation at the IIT. In 2015 he joined the Electrical Systems Unit in IMDEA. His areas of interest include the control of power converters, power quality and micro-grids.
