Predoctoral Researcher
Development of semiconductor materials for energy and environmental applications
Short Bio:

Antonio Chacón got his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Córdoba (UCO) in 2018. During the Degree, he was awarded with a “contributing student grant” for two years in the Department of Organic Chemistry (UCO) and carried out a scientific internship during the academic year 2015/2016, at the University of Bucharest (Romania).

He completed his Bachelor thesis in 2018 in the area of Physical Chemistry (UCO) on Computer Drug Design using the QSAR technique. Then, he completed a 2-months internship at the Institute of Molecular Sciences of the University of Aix-Marseille (France), within the department of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry investigating pseudorotations of ephedrine derivatives.

In 2019, he got the Master's Degree in Drug Research, Development, Control and Innovation at the University of Granada, performing his Master's thesis in the Department of Physical Chemistry of the Faculty of Pharmacy, where he worked on the characterization of new dyes derived from BODIPYs for their use as sensors.

In June 2020, he joined the Advanced Porous Materials Unit at the IMDEA Energy Foundation as Predoctoral Researcher, working on the Design of Advanced Materials for Energy and Environmental Applications
