Dr. Juan Miguel Moreno
Senior researcher in Thermochemical Processes Unit at IMDEA Energy since October 2016. PhD in Industrial Chemistry from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 1993 and Management Development Program (PDD) at IESE in 2004. In 1990 he joined the Repsol Technology Center as a researcher, having been responsible for various research projects in the area of lubricants and specialties production. In the period 1999-2007 he served as R&D Project Portfolio Manager for Repsol Derivados (1999-2001) and Refining (2001-2007). In the period 2007-2010 has served as Deputy Director of Planning and Services and in 2011-2012 Director of Strategy, Planning and Resources Management of Repsol Technology Center, with responsibility for all transversal functions of the Technology, including encouraging and promoting Repsol's participation in different national and European support programs for R & D, and collaboration with Universities and Research Centers. In January 2013 he was appointed Director of Chemical Technology with responsibility for the portfolio of R&D for the chemical business of Repsol, a position he held until June 2016. During these years he has worked as a member of various working groups both Spanish and European organizations in the fields of energy, chemical and R & D. In the period 1999 -2014 he has worked as Associate Professor at the Rey Juan Carlos University teaching Petroleum Technology in 3rd year of Technical Engineering and 5th year of Chemical Engineering (2002-2014) and collaborator in various courses of the Instituto Superior de la Energía, ISE (1999-2012).
