Manuel del Barrio

Researcher in training
Nanostructured porous carbonaceous materials for the electrochemical energy storage
Short Bio:

Manuel Del Barrio has got a degree in Chemistry from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM, 2019). His Final Degree Project was entitled "Sodium ion battery electrodes based on coordination polymers or metal-organic frameworks (MOF)", and was carried out at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry I, UCM and the Institute of Science and Technology of Polymers of the CSIC. Then, he completed his MSc degree in Energy and Fuels for the Future at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2020), carrying out the Final project at the IMDEA Energy Institute, in the Advanced Porous Materials Unit, entitled "Towards more efficient solar cells: New environmentally friendly 1D perovskites".

In October 2020, he joined the Advanced Porous Materials Unit at the IMDEA Energy as a researcher in training, working on nanostructured porous carbons for energy storage.
