Anaerobic digestates as culture media for microorganism’s growth for energy purposes
Short Bio: 

Mercedes Llamas Redondo studied a degree in Biotechnology at Cádiz University in 2015 where she performed the final degree Project in the Chemical Engineering department  whose topic was “Biohydrogen production through anaerobic digestión of organic wastes”.

Subsequently, she performed a MSc in Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology at  Complutense University of Madrid, where she carried out the Final Master Project whose title was “microalgae cell wall isolation and characterization and their influence in anaerobic digestion”.

In July 2016 she joined IMDEA Energy as a technician in MICROALBAC Project about microalgae-bacteria consortium in wastewater treatment. Since September 2017 she is researcher in training in this unit.
