Sergio Morales Palomo graduated in Biology from the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares in 2015, where he completed his final degree project at the Department of Life Science on “Molecular characterization of microalgae symbionts of lichens of the Peltigera and Solorina genera by testing coded markers in the chloroplasts’ genome”.
Subsequently, he completed a master's degree in Biotechnology at the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid in 2016. His final Master's tesis was developed at the Institute of Catalysis and Petrochemical and was based on “Development of promiscuous biocatalysts”.
He was collaborating as an intern in the Department of Biomedicine and Biotechnology at the Universidad Alcalá de Henares until September 2017.
In November 2019 he joined as a predoctoral researcher at the Biotechnological Processes Unit of IMDEA Energy.
